
125th Anniversary of the Parish
We invite you to celebrate the 125th anniversary of our beloved Saint Viateur Parish. This anniversary is much more than a simple number, it testifies to over a century of living faith in Jesus Christ, prayer, service, and community spirit. Throughout the years, the Parish of Limoges has been a source of Catholic Christian spirituality for generations. Today, we wish to honor this heritage by looking to the future with renewed fervor and hope, reaching out to others, always under the loving gaze of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Please mark the following dates in your calendar:
- Monday, June 29, 2026, launch of the 125th anniversary celebrations, the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, and the 5th anniversary of Padre Diego’s priestly ordination: Mass at 5:00 pm at the church, followed by a party under a tent next to the Nation Sports Complex (243 Limoges Road). A meal will be served. Please bring your own wine and a dessert to share. There will be activities for children! (*Free event)
- Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 1:30 pm, Mass with the Rite of Dedication (Consecration) of our church, celebrated by His Excellency Archbishop Marcel Damphousse of Ottawa-Cornwall.
- Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 7:00 pm, Saint Viateur Feast Day Mass.
- Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 5:00 pm, 125th Anniversary Gala at the Saint Viateur School gymnasium (205 Limoges Road). Cash bar, silent auction, and live music. Tickets: $90
- Friday, December 11, 2026, at 6:00 pm, Closing Mass of the 125th Anniversary, celebrated by His Excellency Bishop Yvan Mathieu, s.m., Auxiliary Bishop. A celebration will follow at the Saint Viateur School gymnasium (205 Limoges Road). There will be activities for the children! (*Free event)
